چکیده
Objectives: Glutathione S-transferase (GST) polymorphism may play a role in the etiology of type 1 diabetes, as GST is involved to detoxification reactive oxygen radicals and synthesis proinflammatory mediators. Genetic polymorphisms renin-angiotensin aldosterone system, including angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) gene insertion-deletion (I/D) polymorphism, can affect progression diabetes diabetic complications. In our study we aimed investigate ACE I/D patients for comparison with population relationships Methods: A total 116 were included study. analyzed 71 subjects 62 control groups. Polymorphism DNA samples was studied by PCR technique. Results compared groups according Results: DD genotype D allele ratio patient group significantly higher than group. T1 M1 ratios similar between distributions M1/T1 not different terms obesity, glycemic control, duration hypoglycemia frequency changed Conclusions: found be so significant relationship observed diabetes. On other hand, it that did have any effect on microvascular

polymorphism in the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ace) gene and ace activity in type 2 diabetic patients
diabetes mellitus is a multifactorial disease. it has recently been shown that an insertion (i)/deletion (d) polymorphism exists in the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ace) gene that can affect the serum ace level. there are three genotypes: dd, di, and ii, with the ace level being highest in dd, intermediate in di, and lowest in ii. in the present investigation, 170 patients with type 2 diabete...

Background: Angiotensin I converting enzyme (ACE) is a Zinc metalloproteinase, converts Ang-I to Ang- II, a pro-inflammatory agent which may contribute to pathophysiology of some diseases like type 2 diabetes. Objective: To investigate the relationship between ACE I/D polymorphism and type 2 diabetes in 261 Iranian casecontrol pairs. Methods: 170 patients (85 type 2 diabetics with nephropathy a...

angiotensin i-converting enzyme (ace) gene polymorphism; genotype dd or d allele may be involved with an increased susceptibility to type 2 diabetes and diabetic nephropathy (dn). we examined the frequency of ace gene polymorphism in 170 patients (85 type 2 diabetes with nephropathy and 85 without it) in tehran, iran. dna was extracted from the white blood cells and the i/d polymorphism of the ...
